When not to contact us by message
Chest pain, breathlessness, a swollen and painful calf, heavy or continuing bleeding, a dressing soaked through with blood, a fever with spreading redness, a wound that has opened, or a flap or graft that has turned dark or cold all need immediate assessment. Call the hospital straight away, and if the problem is severe and you cannot reach us, go to an emergency department rather than waiting.
